SAS-D
Skala zur Messung Sozialer Axiome
Short abstract
The SAS-D serves to identify commonalities and differences between individuals of different cultures with regard to general beliefs ("Social Axioms"). On the basis of the dimensional structure that could be uncovered uniformly across different countries for the SAS, cultural differences are to be identified that could not be determined on the basis of the value dimensions that had previously been used exclusively. Social axioms describe on a high degree of abstraction relationships between two facts A and B, which can stand for persons, objects or even processes. They are neither evaluative nor normative in nature. The SAS consists of 60 items. Reliability: Not specified. Validity: The five-dimensional structure of the SAS has so far been proven in five countries (Hong Kong, Venezuela, USA, Germany, Japan). Further replications are currently being prepared or carried out in various cultures in all parts of the world.
