KK-SKALA
Krankheitskonzeptskala
Short abstract
The IC-Scale as a research instrument records the cognitive assumptions and convictions of schizophrenic patients in the course of prolonged disorders of their state of health. It consists of 29 items distributed over the subscales (1) drug trust, (2) physician trust, (3) negative expectation, (4) guilt, (5) random control, (6) susceptibility, and (7) idiosyncratic assumptions. Reliability: The internal consistency moves for the scales between Cronbach's alpha = .59 and .88. The split-half reliability varies between rtt = .73 and .86 and the retrestreliability between rtt = .52 and .86. Validity: The scale covers the essential research results available to date in the literature. Significant correlations could be shown between the disease concept dimensions and a compliance score from physician judgement, nurse judgement and patient judgement. Significant differences could also be found between inpatients, catamnesis patients and outpatients from neurological practices. The individual results proved to be consistent.
