gramSK-L2E
Skala zur Erfassung des Selbstkonzepts eigener Grammatikkompetenz in der ersten Fremdsprache Englisch
Short abstract
The gramSK-L2E scale is intended to measure performance-related self-assessments with regard to one's own grammatical competence in the first foreign language English at the beginning of the lower secondary school level. It consists of nine estimation items and has been used and tested in a sample of N = 213 pupils from fifth and sixth grades of lower secondary school. Reliability: Internal consistency is adequate (alpha and r12 > .85). The same applies to retestreliability after a period of five and 12 weeks. Validity: The relationships of the scale sum values with selected performance measures and cognitive-motivational reference variables are differentiated in a requirement-specific way. Thus, the scale can claim provisional construct validity. A principal component analysis revealed a clear single-sector charge pattern.
