TIM
Trierer Inventar für Medikamentenabhängige
Short abstract
The TIM is aimed to identify different aspects of drug dependency in order to use the results as a basis for planning the therapeutic process. It is based on the multidimensional model of alcohol dependency developed by Wanberg and colleagues (1977). The inventory consists of 94 questions, 81 of which relate to different aspects of drug use (scales 1-5), while 13 others deal with partnership-related aspects (scales 6-7). The items can be assigned to seven factor-analytically formed scales: (1) negative consequences of consumption, (2) positive consequences and functionality of consumption, (3) addictive and conspicuous consumption, (4) drugs as life support, (5) withdrawal attempts and polyvalent consumption, (6) partnership factor I, (7) partnership factor II. Reliability: The internal consistencies for the seven scales lie between Cronbach's alpha = .63 and alpha = .95. Validity: Factor analyses yielded a total of seven TIM scales.
