General Health Behavior Scale -(Gesundheitseinstellungsskala)
Short abstract
The General Health Behavior Scale captures behaviors that people use to protect their health. It is based on the Campbell paradigm (1963), in which individual health-related attitudes are determined by behavioral costs/means. The test consists of a total of 56 self-reports of behaviors from the action domains of (1) nutrition, (2) hygiene, (3) stress prevention, (4) risk avoidance, and (5) fitness. Reliability: To date, the separation reliability of the person scores has been in the range of rel = .70 and rel = .76. Validity: Evidence of construct validity is available. External validity has been demonstrated in studies of random samples from the normal population.
