Erhebung digitaler Kompetenzen gemäß DigComp2.1-Referenzrahmen der EU
Short abstract
This questionnaire is a theoretically and empirically based survey instrument for recording digital competencies according to the DigComp2.1 reference framework of the EU (Carretero et al., 2017), which was used in the nationwide KaWuM Survey 2 in 2022 (see www.kawum-online.de). The questionnaire captures with 15 items all five dimensions (subscales) of digital competencies according to DigComp2.1. Additionally, an open knowledge test question is asked. Reliability: Cronbach's alpha was > .80. Validity: There are indications of construct and criterion validity. A slightly longer preliminary version (20 items, plus five open-ended knowledge test questions) has already been used for student surveys at several large German universities across all subject groups since 2019 (also in English version). Initial studies provide comparative data from over 1,200 science managers and over 7,000 students in Germany.
