Laufbahn-EBL
Erwerbsbiografischer Interviewleitfaden für die Laufbahnberatung von berufstätigen Menschen
Short abstract
The Occupational Interview Guide for Vocational Guidance of Employed Persons (Laufbahn-EBL in German) is a partially standardized interview guide with eight adaptively editable topic areas on the previous employment biography of employees with (1) objective of the interview, (2) school career, (3) dropped out of training/study, (4) training period/study period, (5) previous employment, (6) professional experience, (7) phases of absence, and (8) final documentation. It is based on a dissertation project that developed an interview guide for reviewing employment biographies specifically for occupational rehabilitants based on a literature review and five empirical studies (Reha-EBL; Knispel, 2019). Reliability: Not applicable due to the format. Validity: The Laufbahn-EBL was empirically tested in 32 individual interviews. In addition to a positive evaluation by the interview partners, there are indications of the content validity as well as the external validity of the Laufbahn-EBL. The content validity is secured by the construction method. Based on correlations between the global assessments in the Laufbahn-EBL and validated psychological scales, there are indications of external validity (construct validity).
