Reaction to Diagnosis Interview – deutsche Fassung
Short abstract
The Reaction to Diagnosis Interview (RDI), translated from English into German, is a semi-structured interview that is used to measure how parents with a chronically ill or mentally/physically disabled child cope with disability or illness. It is based on the Adult Attachment Interview after George, Kaplan and Main (1985). The interview is recorded on video and consists of five questions that can be repeated if necessary. The RDI manual is used for evaluation. Reliability: Not specified. The interraterreliability is 91.9 % (Cohens Kappa = 0.83 at p < 0.01), that of the assessment of the subtype is 75.7 % (Cohens Kappa = 0.71 at p < 0.01). Validity: No information.
