Short abstract
For the online platform www.levumi.de construct-based tests have been developed to measure sentence-based sense-constructing reading (SinnL-Levumi) based on the levels of the Kieler Leseaufbau (Dummer-Smoch & Hackethal, 2016), the basic vocabulary lists of several federal states and various syntactic structures of German. Items (gap sentences) were formed at two levels of difficulty. Both levels (N2 and N4) contain clusters of consonants and predominantly one- or two-syllable words. Reliability: Not specified. Validity: The analyses show that the test can be interpreted as one-dimensional and that the difficulty dimension Konnektivia is significantly more difficult than the other two dimensions Argument and Predicate. In addition, the measurement invariance was successfully investigated over different groups of pupils (gender, migration background, special educational support needs) and over the time of measurement.
