2.000 m Maximaltest auf dem Concept2 Indoor Rower
Short abstract
The 2KC2 rower ergometer is designed to determine the maximum, sport-specific endurance performance on the Concept2 rower ergometer over a distance of 2,000 m and has been used in rowing sport for several years for diagnosis and performance control. Reliability: Retestreliability was between rtt = .87-.99. Validity: Studies have shown that a rowing ergometer test allows a more accurate assessment of specific physiological performance than a bicycle ergometer. For rowers, physiological parameters such as heart rate and oxygen uptake on the rowing ergometer differed significantly from those on the bicycle ergometer. Factor-analytical studies showed that the maximum oxygen uptake capacity (VO2max) with 72% influences the variability of the performance of a 2000 m race on the Concept2 rowing ergometer. The maximum performance at VO2max, the performance at a blood lactate concentration of 4mmol/l, VO2 at the lactate steady state and the highest performance within five maximum strokes together explain 98% of the variance of the test result and are therefore suitable to predict the result of the test. The highest performance within five maximum strokes was best suited to predict the test result. VO2max, body weight and VO2La4% also correlated significantly with the test result. Significant correlations between the maximum oxygen absorption capacity in the boat and on the rowing ergometer were also proven.
